OPEN AIR CONVERSATIONS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Co-produced with Decima Rosa Video, this documentary won the Special Prize “City of Imola” at the Trento Film Festival for Best Italian Documentary.

The documentary brings us to reflect on the issues raised by the short film “The Nightshift Belongs to the Stars” on organ donation and transplant, the mountain and the relationship that man has with it. Although the topics may seem very different from the short film, they offer a closer look at the thought of the writer De Luca. Erri is in fact the main theme of the meetings and dialogues on the mountains of Trentino alternating walks and wanderings in intimate moments shared with director Edoardo Ponti, the cast of “The Nightshift Belongs to the Stars” and friends. There a “spaghetti get-together” at the home of the poet Roberta Dapunt and sculptor Lois Anvidalfarei, with climbers as Pietro Dal Pra, bone marrow donor, Nives Meroi and Romano Benet. There’s an excerpt of the meeting of Erri De Luca and the cast at the refuge Vajolet, as part of the event “Sounds of the Dolomites” All combined by chance encounters and picturesque scenery. The documentary “Conversations in the open air” He has also received acclaim by getting the victory in the Prize City of Imola in 2013 for the best Italian opera.
